might not be covered by the code but have you checked the socket where the cable goes in,also have you checked the needle aqin't pushed on to hard

it was working fine till one day just stopped , then next day worked for ten minues before stopping , worked the day after for a couple of miles then kaput

i know where the fuel flap release is

thats what fault 42 is all of that so may not be the sensor
