    If I upgrade to 265/75/R16s on my 2.4, what size rims do i need? 16" x 7" or 16" x 8" ? and whats the difference ? And I dont mean the 1".

they will fit on both 7" is plenty for that rubber size

A 265/75 is 10.6" wide 7" rim will take that

Thanx for that. I'm trying to pick a set of new wheels for my upgrade to 16". Do I need to consider anything apart from styling (the way it will look). I understand I'm looking for a 4x4 wheel and Toyota fittment, apart from that I mean.
Does anyone have pics to help me decide.

        Just check the offsets mate.

Im not sure if there is a minimum for the surf,

But the larger the negative number, the more it will stick out from the arch.

so for instance, Stock the 15x7 rim has i believe a -7 offset. you dont want to be going towards -6 etc.

There is a picture that explains offsets etc but i dont have it on my pc. Vince might be along with it shortly

Silverline 4x4 is a good place to start looking. I got my wheel and tyre package there (15x10 modular steel with 33x13.5 Mudzillas). If you're doing a lot of road work you might want something less aggressive though. Kumho's KL71s look great and are a bit better on the road than mine.

Go for 16" x 8" they don't hide in the arches as much as 7":

                Or something really big:

why do you want 16" rims??? there's far more choice in a 15" fitting

Yup. I went from 16" to 15". Loads more choice, and cheaper.

i was planning a lift next year and thought the 16s would suit a lift better. But then i saw a picture of your surf. I am however also consious of not running too big a tyre as only have 2.4. 33s is probably one step too far i thinkest.

the tyres are the same size... they just have bigger holes in the middle...

                            33's are 33's with a 15" or a 16"

Tyres look bigger on a smaller wheel because the sidewall is bigger. Nice fat 31's might be a good choice.
