  • Gearbox length?

A mate wants to put KZ130 3.0 engine + auto box in his bobtail rangie!
Could one of you good people give me the measurment from bell housing to prop flange. we think it may be shorter than my KZ185.
Also, does this box have 4x4 on the fly with a button?

    Many thanks

The rear shaft comes down the center line, not offset, make sure this fits with the underneath of the truck, and it'll be cocked off to one side.

And like Mark said, is the front output even on the same side?

Yes, you have the 4wd button. But remember its a part time 4wd T/Case, but dosn't really matter.

65" from front crankpulley to rear flange.

Erm, not sure! He's got a KZ130 with a manual gearbox which is in for a repair (over heating) that he's taken some measurments off, however he measured my KZ185 and found it to be too long.

3rd gen AWD transfer cases are much longer than the 2nd gen, and the gearbox looks meater as well.

            The 1kz/te was 24", box/t.case 41"
