No mods for a 50/50% mix, and it cost anywhere from 58ppl to 78ppl, cash and carry being best bet. For 100% youd need a complete coversion kit

Heres a basic idea of whats involved

I hate biodiesel, methanol is used in priocess and has gubbed a few engines, i would rather use high percentage of veg oil with a little unleaded (safer) Some guys get away with 40% diesel 55% veg oil 5% unleaded

                Burning Veggie

Hi Guy's thanks for the feedback.

Out of interest just how much are people paying the tax man. I went thro most of the previous threads and read the tax man stuff and it seems the concensus is between 27p and 58p per litre, (I like the 27p bit) but not the other.

if I set a dual system with heaters what would I pay, the same for mixing it, what would I pay in either case????

                    Re Pay the tax man

You don't have to pay the tax man a thing if you are not a business and use less than 2500 ltrs of veg a year!

                        Veggie Tax

Even that thread adds confusion, cuz although the picture of the letter from the tax man is there saying its free, later posts says its 57p.

What I want to know is, What are you veggie guy's paying and did you register then fill out the EX?? form????

The Law changed in the summer THIS year, if you use less than 2500 litres, you don't need to register or pay fuel duty. VAT still needs to be paid (you technically aren't allowed to use food grade oil, but I haven't heard of this being enforced, and I used to use it).

                              Tax

                              Ok guy.s
                              Thanks. Now think about this.

If a heater which incorporates water heating and has say a glow plug or some other form of heating permanantly inserted in the fuel line (near the fuel pump inlet) and controlled by a thermostat once the water temp rises. do you think this would affect the running when only diesel is being used and heated.

I am thinking that this would heat veggie by electricity until the water temp rises. No second tank, no mixing and no switching fuels, but sometimes diesel could be used when no veggie available.
Is thre a problem if diesel is heated???
This would be very cheap to manufacture and install, I may even manufacture and sell myself.

                              What do you guy's think??
