Sad news, but some times better to call it day than carry going nowhere. I've been there.

Try and stay friends, till my ex moved up North somewhere, I think we actually got on better after the split as friends than before. There is no point making things harder for each other.

Good luck, hang around if you can. Maybe get a nice 3rd Gen!!

Mark and Shirl, I'm really sorry to hear you're going separite ways. I don't know you personally, but you are part of my on line family. I know exactly what you're going through and how you both feel, but time is a marvelous thing and you'll both come through this.

You'll feel like 5hit just now; but, in a couple of months time, you'll sort yourselves out and either get back together or realise you really needed to go your own ways. Whatever way you go, you'll feel liberated.

Keep your chins up, keep your mates close (whether they are real or virtual) and most importantly; try to stay friends.
