help !!!!

mechanic at work [lorries] as been doing me a favour and looking at truck [rumbling noise]
on drivers side , think he said flange diff had play in it , where you see that my finger is pointed in pic the whole part moves about a little ,where it goes into the thingy [techy term ]i s it bolted or a circlip ?? what he asked me was could i get an exploded picture or diagramto help him out as he has no knowledge of these trucks

You undo the 6 bolts and then the hub end and the whole shaft comes out and the gaiter is taken off to release the shaft from the cup to reveal the cv joint inside.
I have got some play on one my shafts but its not making a noise as of yet tho

yeah he knows that rich as he changed cv boot before but he needs a diagram or exploded plan to see if it can be tightened behind the flange ie circlip or bolt

Its fine mate, leave it alone.

Go and wiggle everyones flanges, they all move. In my experiance when the bush wears enough to need changing, it'll be leaking diff oil.

Take the drive flanges off the front hubs, and take it for a test drive, this stops the front drive shaft and diff spider gears rotation so only the wheel bearing is going round, if it goes away you have a hub bush/diff/CV issue. If its still there it can only be bearings or tyres or from somewhere else on the truck.
