You're a tad younger than me, but about 7 or 8 years ago I had to stop mountain biking seriously as my wrists are knackered. Manage some recreational cycling, but still get pain even with sus forks set to soft. My knees are buggered and my ankles are getting bad, probably due to competetive running when I was in my teens.

It's all down hill from here mate!

Maybe you've got some carpal tunnel problems? Worth finding out cos it can be sorted with a simple op.

Seriously though, it's usually worth paying a bit of money to see a specialist rather than depend on a GP. I have a few sessions with osteopaths before and after snowboarding to sort out a variety of minor leg injuries that have built up over the years (help me with that Colin??) and they have been excellent. A GP just told me to rest and elevate them when they hurt, which is fine until they hurt all the time.
Tel mee wot they are mate and i wil see wot i can do

Hi fellas, Hubby just dug up this thread for me, no guesses why.

My question is, if that serious why don't they plaster cast it initially for a couple of weeks? It's flippin hard work getting this hand to do nothing!! ..and with a 2yr old hanging off me most of the time.

Hows Rod doing I felt gutted for him being a gigging guitarist myself, I have a few twangs but I've played for 30 years, funny thing is my hands don't moan when playing but little things like opening plastic carrier bags or doing my flys up left handed..

My wife has carpel tunnel too, was gonna pick her brains etc

Then I spotted the date hehe
