  • Picked it up yesterday and still smiling

Picked up my surf yesterday and chuffed to bits, drives great, mpg not too bad. No complaints so far about the dealer, included a manual that i was watching on ebay at £30. Only a couple of problems, wheel shake at 40ish, which hopefully a wheel balance will sort, and a chip in the windscreen that I missed when I first looked at her (How easy to get a new scren??). She's all clean and shiny at the moment but I want to have a go off road, any ideas on a good place to try for a beginner, that won't do to much damage?

P.S. thanks to everyone who contributes to this site as it has been invaluable in my search for my perfect Surf. Thank you and hope to meet you all soon.

    Cheers

    Adrian

Nice Surf mate. If it's just a chip, you can get them drilled and filled with silicon for about £30. RAC, AA etc will do it, cheaper than your insurance excess anyway. Happy driving tho....

Apparently it has to be no bigger than a 5p piece. If you can live with it save the money. Go greenlaning/off-roading and then see what optional extras you want before the screen becomes a priority
