  • Another daft question.....

    Morning all.

How much effect on road handling would a 2" lift have?

    Would it be very noticeable?

    Cheers

Not as far as i can see. Why not put wheel spacers on, also. Looks good and helps the car hold the road better.

I certainly aint noticed any difference but i do have more "negetive"(?) offset
makeing the wheels sitck out more than standard, but it is a 2 ton brick so it aint going round bends like a boy racer anyway,

        Thanks guys, appreciated.

I haven't even bought a surf yet but some seem to have had a lift done, I just didn't know whether these should be avoided or not.

        Cheers

i got a 5" lift done with 33" tyres and the handling on mine is a bit on the bouncy side as i have no anti roll bars fitted but once you get to know the truck and how it handles you will know its limitations

Yep, on a standard truck, no noticeable difference. Once you start on the mods it's a case of 'how long is a piece of string?'

Oh, and once you DO start on the mods, it's hard to stop

I've had new rear springs fitted (Milners 20% stronger), wheel spacers and a 2" suspension lift. I feel the ride and handling were actually improved by these mods.

The new springs provided the greatest improvement as my Surf had previously suffered from the dreaded S.A.S. (saggy ar5e syndrome). The spacers improved cornering with less body roll and the 2" lift just looked good!

i had 5 " lift and no difference really...

if you don't tighten the bolts, it's more fun!!

                  Thanks Guys

So, if I don't buy one with a lift, I'll need to get one done by the sound of it

                  Cheers
