Yep, wont be long before Upton (and most points along the Severn) are flooded AGAIN, and people who live in Barratt houses on floodplains start asking the government for compensation!
anyway back on topic, whats every one rekon of the catch can ,is it a worth while thing or is it just prologing fixing a worn engine?
or is it a design fault by toyota and nothin wrong with the engine?
how many miles have people done with there catch cans before any major work was needed on there engine?

Mine came with one fitted from Japan dont know how many miles but its been 3 years since I got the truck emptied it twice and so far have had no problems.
I Run a catch can on the supra.. (Two turbos, 8k rpm, oil gets hot!!) even on a perfectly healthy (freshly rebuilt) engine there will still be oil in the breather system, baffles of not, as vince said it condenses then gets re-introduced just before the turbos.. coating the blades with manky oil, and condensing even further in the intercooler...
Seems ok to me, the engine doesn't breathe that much, but the dryer air from the BOV doesn't snot up the engine as much!
