  • removal of wing mirror?

    G'day,
Has anybody removed the little mirror on the front left wing?
If they have was it easy?
How did you cover the hole?
    Thanks

Well i nearly ripped it off at Baldhu at the weekend. It managed to keep hold and just twist round. Dented the wing and dmaged the wheel arch extension though. But yeah, doing that was easy enough.

Ask the to55er that ripped mine off while I was parked up!!

There's a bolt holding the mirror to the wing, under the plastic cover.

I assume you can fill the hole with body filler, sand down & spray

I took mine off, welded holes up, bit of filler and 2K primer. I was painting front end anyway and wanted that mirror gone. Sold the mirror on ebay for 45 quid! Anyone on here?
Anyway its a two by four most of the time....

Not easy where I work, its hard enough getting mine in there. Can't easily sneak a Surf in unnoticed can you! Wish I could though.

Yep, only thing is to repaint. Unlikely to be Toyotas fault, probably done in a Jap bodyshop, they're famously cr@p at paintwork.
