  • Side Steps on or off?

ok so it would be nice to have a few pictures as comparision here but as I am a lazy sod I havent done any.

What are the pros and cons to having these?

Do they give any protection to the body work or are they just for show and help to clean the roof?

There's lots of recent pics with the sort of thing you're looking for in the thread asking for pics of lifted surfs.

My personal view. Take em off!

I think they look nice, but they do ruin the break-over angle. If you can afford to get the truck lifted, do that... passengers will thank you for keeping them on!

see from the first picture that someone had the same problem with their fog light that I did.

Sidesteps off mate- if you have any intentions of going offroad they'll get bent anyway. Here's my truck sans sidesteps- so much ground clearance you look right underneath it- from above!

Keep em on, they make a great shelf. Seriously - stuff stays on them for ages especially with a light coating of mud.

Besides it gives you somewhere to stand when you gotta climb out the window an onto the bonnet to attach a rope.

                              Love The Rock Sliders

                              Keep em on mate

You may loose a little clearance but there benefits out way that

They protect your cars doors and door sills.
Make it easier to get in the cab.
Great in shopping car parks with trolleys & idiots car doors slamming into you lovely paint.

Less time in the panel shop = more time to 4wd & more cash for the extra 4wd goodies you want.

Remember make sure there engineered strong & secured in a way they wont buckle when you vehicle needs them.

                              Cheers Matt

PS They make a great place to rest a BEER when your changing a flat tyre
