  • v8 1st gen.

    help im in a dilema.in trying to find a decent carb for the 1st gen,ive been looking at around £200 to £250 for a new carb,well i can get a complete v8 for that sort of money.so what should i do.shirlster dont know my plans yet.do i shell out on a new carb or do i transplant power units. as for the rebuild on the 3y it hasnt cost me anything just time so that dont even come into it.surely someone knows of a twin choke out there.

      Cant you get a su carb to fit as you can get them from loads of places and for not alot of money but i know how you feel bud i just put a twin choke webber on the sj and that was £300 and that is silly money for a carb

                Me and Mark both bought some Weber adaptor plates so we could fit 32/36 Weber twin chokes on . I got some carbs but Mark wanted one but could not find one . I got him one .

                        How come thet dont fit?? is it the wrong engine or the wrong carb??
                        According to the numbers they should fit both 3Y and 4Y plus 22R.
