Asus Eee - £219 Laptop

Have you guys seen this yet? You can install XP on it, it has a 4Gb soild state hard drive, 7" Screen, I'm thinking Memery Map + Camping Films for the kids etc.

4gb even in divx format will only hold 3/4 films if it does not have a dvd drive

There are a few minis on the market but £219 is a nice cheap unit

Its has three USB ports + a built in MMC and SD card reader, so films could live on pen drives or sd cards

They were far tastier when first touted in the states at a potential launch price of $200!!
But at over £200 (some as high as £280) the you're easily in reach of the sub-£300 laptops with proper hard drives and DVD/CD-ROM built in.
At this time of year well worth looking at is in the 'sales'.
