The EP9 is a 4tonne winch, the minimum to go for. Its nearly £500.
That is not cheap.

WARN are probably the best.
They do a heavy duty winch fitted with its own air compressor.

If you read some of the learned opinions on these things Warn have a good brand name but Superwinch make a better product. The 9000lb range is particularly good - take a look at http://www.dborc.co.uk/goodwinch/Roger
