Mistake...its a 97/98 or earlier.

I thought 3rd Gens are up to 2001, maybe even 02 for some late rego'ed ones..

Yeah they are, but they changed the dash, steering wheel and a few other bits around 98/99. That's most definetly not the 'improved' version (cos its like my '96).

I pointed this out the other day.

It could be a 98/99 model that was sold and therefore registered in 2000. Some guy taking advantage of dealers stock to bag a bargain. It happens in this country too if the dealer hasnt registered it to show the maker how good a salesman he is.
Id give em the benefit of the doubt
