Yup I have notice mine will happily go sideways... Which suprised me at first as its not something I'd really assoiated with wheel spin and tail out action!!
-Although I find cars with an open diff are far less likely to step out the cars with an LSD (clutch type at least) Open diff cars tend to spin up the inside wheel and you just lose momentum but keep on line (unless you are just applying waaaaaaaaay too much power or already in mid corner) in which case the back slides), LSD cars if they spin up, tend to spin both, so the back end swings out more volently. - this is why the drifters weld up their diffs!
