Well, a 4.2ltr straight 6 engine is gonna feel a little more powerful than my weedy 2.4 - christ the torque is immense.

vince was sitting in the back - i turned to talk to him and it looked like he was somewhere off in the distance - massive

So I guess it's just a case of the money, I'm not a car dealer, so I don't know what the going rate for one of those is, and although it is a lot of motor, it's still 17 years old, so is it worth 31/4K?

I'd pay it ( if I had it) and I guess so will someone else, but of course with today's anti 4x4 culture, and the cost of fuel, there is less and less demand for such vehicles, and it's only the real enthusiasts that would entertain such a vehicle nowerdays.

When my house is sold, if there's any money left over, I'm gonna get me one of them, and drive it all over europe!

A vehicle like that is gonna lose if you use your head, unless you live in th US or Oz, coz it just ain't practical in this country, I mean, look at the picture, where it's parked, on an urban street in a town.

If they really need a 4x4 there are a lot more sensible motors, damn, I sound like a tree hugger, but you know what I mean. They are selling it for those exact reasons

For that matter, the surf ain't that practical really, for the amount of off road work it gets, I could use any estate car for towing Harley around and doing the shopping, I have the surf coz I wanted it ( And I couldn't afford a L/C, although the surf owes me about what that L/C cost, Doh!)


But Damn it's a great motor, and soon we won't be able to drive a motor like that at all, so make the best of it now, coz in 10-20 years time, they'll be gone, and we'll be too old anyway

Ya see, I did the head thing, and then the heart just overrules it, I say if ya got or can get the money (without screwin' yaself) then go for it.

The tax & ins will be same as surf ( more or less) and so will the mpg ( less) but the FUN FUN FUN wil be MORE MORE MORE,
