well thats not right, because doesnt the plate have to reflect its age?
isnt that why they stopped all the Qs ?

You can have any reg. number available, but it not to make the vehicle appear younger than it's manufacture date.

which makes this against regulations then.

dodgy plate = dodgy sale. also, when selling a motor on ebay if you enter the reg number in the listing (it doesn't get shown on the listing except 1st digit/letter) the buyer can check the cars hp history.

i always steer clear of any car on ebay that doesn't have this.
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

You'd think they'd have this sorted by now - Surfs imported into the UK for how long?????????

And yeah - heavy on the tax for that truck

oil changes every six months, that'll be good then if hes been doing 15,000 a year

never seems to amaze me ebay sometimes... darn am bidding on this truck! Oh well. Did anyone clock this one that just finished:

                  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=014

Over £1500 as a non runner? Would have thought that whoever took it in part chop knew realised how bad it was else would have sorted it themselves via the old boys network.

Seller must be rubbing their hands together.

I keep searching for 3 lts to replace the beast but all that come along at a goood price look dodgy .....the plate on this one made it stand out and i thought it was worth alerting my fellow surfers to it's existance

As stated earlier in the thread you can stick on a older plate BUT a newer one is not allowed

Ok , the plate is wrong ? You go to DVLA explain that and get another plate that relates to the year. Its dead easy Im sure. There was a 97 Surf not far from me on an 02 plate, its now on a R plate so they must have gotten it changed.

                        The enquiry is complete

The vehicle details for DK03 NHM are:

                        Date of Liability 01 11 2007
                        Date of First Registration 06 03 2003
                        Year of Manufacture 1994
                        Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2980CC
                        CO2 Emissions Not Available
                        Fuel Type Heavy Oil
                        Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Licence Due to Expire
                        Vehicle Colour GREEN
                        Vehicle Type Approval null
The information contained on this page is correct at the time of enquiry.
Vehicle Excise Duty Rate for vehicle
                        6 Months Rate £99.00
                        12 Months Rate £180.00

And this is the data from the DVLA website.

I cant see any reason not to bid or buy if you think its worth it.
