i bought a tomtom one on boxing day last year and i had to take it back to halfords cause after doing a update and a backup the bloomin thing wouldn't work again.halfords exchanged it no problem and gave me the new tomtom one 3rd edition.I done a back up like it suggest and the same thing happened to that.On the phone to tom tom about it for over a hour and in the end i was told to get a replacement from Halfords again after being asked if i am breaking them on purpose.Yea right i said i spend £160 and break it on purpose and the chance i don't get it replaced.
I won't be buying tomtom again.

Ermmm... Garmin have been in GPS since GPS was born. Tomtom is basically a bunch of sofware niff-naff (ooooh yeah, lets have a celeb giving us directions) added to a generic hardware implementation. So there!

I'd personally ONLY ever buy Garmin or Magellan. Had Garmin on a boat years ago, and it never let me down.

                          Hehe, sorry mate!

I can only think hard reset, but you've done that. Can you get the battery out? If you can, take it out and leave it overnight. Thats about as hard a reset as you can do.

Does it have a memory card in it or is everything stored on the device itself?
