Mine's working a treat, got a good sound from the music side of it and the DVD picture is nice and clear, haven't tried the TV yet as I didn't bother connecting the supplied aerial.

Originally posted by CopycatMmmmmm, nice! Unfortunately despite having new wheel bearings fitted my truck still has a case of the wobbles, but not as bad as it was. I took it in last week to a mate who works for a 4 x 4 repair company but he was very busy so I'm going back on Saturday. Keeping my pennies in check at the moment in case it turns out expensive.
i took it to ATS or some dodgy place like that for balancing cos i was off to around france. and it come back better at some speed, but 100 times worse at about 80-90! i found if i let air out the tyres it almost went away (before i got wheels balanced)
so i took it back to them and they tried palming me off 'your wheels must be buckled from off roading' i told them to balance again, and they did, and it still wasnt right, then on the way to work i heard something hit the underneath of the truck and i worked out it could only be a weight off the wheel
so back it went and they said they had to specially order a tool to go on the machine to then bolt my wheel to the tool and do it that way. since then ive had no wobbles of any kind
can you drive through your wobble? if you can it might be balancing.. if not then its probably the alloy off centre, or something like that.. hows your bush.. ahem bushes i meanOh Nana, what's my name?

Nice DVD set up!
Cracking set up you have there Copycat! Extremely tempted - looked at the E Bay link & they're still selling them. Have you had any issues in the few months that you've had it installed? Also, how the flamin' eck did you manage to wire it all in? Looking at all those wires at the back of the Unit seems a little daunting! Is it a major rewiring process or were you able to simply unplug your existing toyota connectors into this new unit? I have won a Surf/ISO adaptor from E Bay today cause was thinking of just stereo replacement. Might be a 'copycat' instead!
Regards,
Martin

The power and speaker connections where a doddle, simply plugged them in to standard iso connectors and away she went. There are more connections for amps and subs etc if they are needed (which they will be once the weather gets warmer).
I'd definately recommend this if you can buy it with delivery for under £100.
Highlander, the tapes go in the loft mate along with my platform boots and hipsters!

Thanks Copycat............So sold!
Definately getting one now, you've convinced me (well I convinced myself with your help!). Don't know whether to get your model or the 4x65 Watt Surround version. Here's the link:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/878-7-TFT-LCD-...QQcmdZViewItem
It has motorised screen that seems to be higher. Just a little concerned that the screen may not sit flat when extracted & upright cause the Surf facia is a little proud. What's your opinion on this one? They are going for around the 80-90 quid mark on standard auction.
Better get decent front & rear speakers too! Any recommendations to type/size? Not a clue in this department!
Thanks

I think the motorised one might foul the gear selector if it's in park when it opens but I'll check. Front speakers are located low down on either side of the dash, they are 4.5" ones and are a doddle to replace. Do a search on front speakers and you'll find loads of info. I think Rod Leach has recently fitted a full system.
The rear ones are powered by their own amp and are located in the boot area, I'm not to sure of the size of those ones. I would also recommend fitting 6" x 9"s and a good amp. I'm still trying to decide where to fit my 6" x 9"s but will get around to it some day.
Good luck with your audio fit and keep us informed of how it's going.
