Whats your favorite Whiskey?

Jura is an island to the north east of Islay, they only produce the one malt. Probably grouped as an Islay malt for classification purposes.

Haven't been to Islay yet. My sister used to live on Arran. From the top of Goat Fell you could look over The Mull of Kintyre and see Islay - so close, and yet so far (well, two ferry crossings actually) lol.

I've looked both ways Islay to Arran and Arran to Islay.

And Jura, you just have to go there. No road tax, no MOTs, no Police, only 200 people, one pub and huge empty spaces; feckin awesome place... Average peak traffic flow in Craighouse (the major village) is 6 cars per hour, a true wilderness.

ended up in a bar in amsterdam once - they only sold whiskey! 50% of the whole shop was a bar, with whiskey bottles lined up behind it..
dont really like the stuff though lol

At this point i'd like to interject and say that i hate whisky. After i drank a bottle in three goes at the age of 15 at a party, the smell of it reminds me of lying in the back of that ambulance!!

However my dad and brother love the stuff! so much so that my dad has a hogshead (250litres) of Laphroig somewhere in Scotland. He just can'tbe arsed to do anything with it!

Same here! Drank a full bottle aged 18 had to be carried / dragged home by girlfriend and 2 mates. New clothes ruined, spent the night on the bathroom floor spewing like a donkey.

I can't stand the smell of it, even now.
