It's about being sensible, if it feels like you're pulling too hard or too fast, you probably are. Don't be afraid to ask the guy recovering you to calm down or let someone else do it, if you're the one being recovered.
Just been watching those youtube clips with the tow rope problems. I am amazed more about the guys standing that close.
I used to work with slings and chains in a factory. Shifting round several tonnes of pipework on some lifts. On several occassions`saw chains and slings fail and you learn really quick that its much better to be standing out of the way rather than trying to get out of the way.
Wasn't saying I disagree, just dont think kinetic is the way to go for a complete beginner.
I reckon if you take a beginner somewhere where they'll NEED a kinetic strap, you run the risk of putting them off the sport. It's his daily driver, so I doubt he'll wanna do stuff which could result in damage anyway...
