I'm having a 2" body lift and a 2 1/2" suspension lift in Dec sometime.
I want to change my tyres for AT's and would like your opinions on which to go for, ie price, looks, noise, etc etc.
As it will be going up near 5", size will also be a contributing factor to the rubber i choose. The wheels are 16" and they're for a 3rd gen. AND I WANT TO GET EM MUDDY!!
Edit: pics would be nice too
I thought you were going at 1000. Ah well glad your still here. I have 2 trucks a 3.0L 2nd gen with a "2 suspension lift and 1 1/2" body lift. That has 16" rims with 33" BF Goodridge MTs. My other one is a 2.4 2nd gen with a 4" suspension lift and 3" body lift. That is currently running on 31" BF Goodridge ATs. The MTs on the 3.0L look real good have never punctured never got stuck off road and have lasted a long time. I do over 300 miles a week on them and have had them 2 years.
Downside they were £500 for 4 they are noisy (with the windows open) and the fuel consumption went up Quite noticably.
The ATs on my other truck also look good but do not perform so well off road. I have no idea what they cost but they are much quieter and have also lasted a long time.
A good friend of mine who also lives next door to me works for Nigel at LA supertrux and driver of Monsterous runs his Pajero on 33" Kumho's a much cheaper tyre but still quite aggresive looking and perform well on and off road. He gets them from Southam tyres for about £90 each. I have a set of 15x10 rims to go on my 2.4 and a set of 35" Kumho's will be the tyres that I will fit (as it looks hideous with 7" of lift and 31" tyres) After Christmas most probably.
Given the choice I would go for a set of 33" Kumho's.
Hope this helps.
Steve.

Is your 2.4 an auto, and how do you think it will perform with 35's on, as I've seen 2.4's with 33's and they suffer with poor off the mark performance, unless you regear the diffs.

Yours are MT's though aint they Rich? i really want to go for AT's. At a later date i will get a set of steely's with MT's.

Steve where did you get the 15x10 are they steels?
i had colways AT's on for 2 years and they were very good on and off road right up to a few weeks back when i got these MT's now.
I did have 2 continental AT's on the front for a couple of weeks and they seemed a good tyre on and off road also 31x1050x15's
