can your original front valance be separated from the bumper and the bends on the corners be cut and used to fill in the gaps on your new bumper ?
im assuming the gap is as wide a syour boby lift.if your bumper is the same as mine,ireckon you can separate the valnce and bumper.if thats the case then the bumper/valance could be crafted to fit in the gap,just cut to the right depth.

or you could checker plate the gap !!
Or fill it with expanding foam and shrink wrap it, then paint!

if you use any metal its trying to get the flow of the bumper might be better with plastic, might look at valance tomorrow , cheers gra
