Hi all from a newbie. Just thought I'd comment on what a fantastic forum this is. I discovered yesterday it by accident, whilst browsing t'internet for info on dual mass flywheels.
I've had my surf for 2 years, and up until last friday had not 1 thing go wrong. The weird sound,(like a branch caught in the propshaft) that sometimes happened, is I think is the dual mass flywheel giving up the ghost, add to that the slipping clutch and it's still not bad for 2 years worth of towing, and general abuse.
I've been reading the threads here, and have learned so much about them so far, and I haven't even scatched the surface yet.
