Towbar mounts

Does anyone know if these towbars will fit as advertised as from wot I remember the mounts look different . I someone agrees they are as advertised then I may buy one of these as price is very good.

Towequipe don't list it and they used to stock atlas, but don't know if they still do.

the mounts look nothing like the PCT or witter towbars that i've seen for 2nd gens.

I got the towequip one about £90s with all fixing took me about 5 minutes to fit. Well after I gave it 5 top coats of hamertite just to make it last.

Wiring took a bit longer granted but the fitting was soooooooooooo easy.

It also takes a great deal of knocks and stress. Love the towequip one.

Well looks like a dodgy ad then . I have emailed the seller to confirm item is as desribed for the Surf .

Just because its different, doesnt make it wrong. Have a look at the towequipe website and compare the towtrust, witter, westfalia, watling, whatever they have diagrams for. Youll soon get the idea of whether it will fit or not.
I got a 3rd gen watling tow bar off ebay recently for 25 beer tokens and although different to the towtrust or others its fitted just fine and Im sure it will be up to the job.

Its not the same as my 1st Gen , but may fit the 2nd Gen as advertised . No reply from seller regarding my question .

The drop from the chassis looks OK, and the side plates are similar to Linda's

It looks reasonably the right shape, If its only £25 its worth a dip IMHO.

Does look a little like the el-cheapo £40 ones that where floating around last year, they fitted but took a little 'adjusting'

Hi, mate, they fit my 2nd gen ln130 but beware, mine needs to be welded because the joints have cracked. just as well the radiator blew, we noticed it when the surf was loaded on the tow truck, if not we might have lost the caravan on the A11! how popular would we be!!
