Hi there

I was watching a tanker fill up a house's heating oil tank today and thought about the old Bedford Army trucks I used to maintain and drive. You could run them on Avtur aviation fuel which is an extremely cheap kerosene/ paraffin. There was an adjuster on the fuel pump so that in times of war when Diesel was unavaliable we could use the Avtur.

I wonder if the Surf would cope with running on Kerosene heating oil.

i tried it out myself by accient when my local garage gave me $$$$py fuel and made the surf run like a pig! had to recover it to get it fixed. it got tested etc and they think it was some kind of avition fuel.
