Hello from a Newbie

Hi,

I met Linda at the weekend and I was hugely impressed by her surf and she has absolutely convinced me that I gotta get one of these

However, it seems things may be the wrong way round here. I fancy this car but my very sensible OH is not so keen
The issue are; we have two small children, we have a dog. We have a family camping kit. I drive 80 miles round trip to work in a Primera - 39mpg and he drives a Skoda felicia estate (a phenomenal 42mpg) to the station. He thinks the 'Skud' is great, I hate it! He wants to change it for an Avensis estate, I don't!

Now I need ammo.

Tell him that the surf will run on (mostly) vegetable oil, which is loads cheaper than petrol or diesel, so it will actually be cheaper in the long run.

use the primera to ram the skoda hard enough they both need replacing and buy him a 3rd gen and you a proper surf like Linda's

welcome to the nut house there great trucks to drive, you can go anywhere you want, they will pull pretty much anything and once you got one your never want another car, ohh and theres plenty of people on here that will give you all the help and advice you need
