well.... i dont have a winch YET!!

But i was thinking about the torsion bars... my truck drops on the front under heavy breaking.... Could be an idea to get some mate!

Don't think the standard box has a Pto output shaft, could go hydraulic, but most stick to electric because it's easier and still adequate pulling power for most of us, also could be used with a dead engine whereas PTO or hydraulic can't, you just have to have someone throwin you new batteries every few meters

If i recall, the gypsy has lts of good things. Came very closeto buying one, many many moons ago, thought it looked the dogs!!!

She's theoretically a runner, but needs some TLC. When I eventually get a storage place for her, she will become a full blown project though.

Yep extra weight of winch bumper + the weight of the winch + the possibility of a downward pull = saggy front end

Dont have a winch yet but when I do it`s going under the back. I reckon yes, uprated torsion bars. Make sure you get quality as you dont want them sagging every off-roading trip. you can do it later though, just make sure you`ve got heavy duty shocks on the front for now.

yep - uprated mine, got the winch bumper sorted then "someone" nicked me winch and mounted it on their truck"
