uploading photos to gallery

Tried to upload photos of my surf to the gallery and finding it difficult....keep getting msg popping up saying "no photo selected....check server enables uploading"
I know i can upload pics 'cos i have uploaded on friends reunited and face book. Can anyone tell me why i cant upload to the site. Photos came off my digital camera and are saved as jpegs.

upload to photobucket then copy/paste the url which contains the [IMG] at the beginning and end of the link into your post here, include both tags. H
