  • Songs And Racist Lyrics

Why are there certain words that are totally unacceptable for white people to say and yet when said or sang by black people it's okay?

My favourite CD at the moment is Kanye West's Graduation (only song I'm a bit iffy about is 'Drunk And Hot Girls'). On a couple of the tracks there are lines as follows:

"I hate theses niggers more than the Nazis"
    and
"I'm gonna start killing these niggers soon as the chorus hits".

Can someone explain how these words are offensive when used by whites but acceptable when used by black people?

Can you imagine the uproar if a white singer or group used the word 'nigger' in song?

There was a girl thrown off BB for using that term, wasn't there?
'Tis better to sting than to be stung!

That's the fair face of racism for ya, as I said in another thread, only "non-whites" make an issue of colour ( and call it racism), and racism isn't necasarily about colour ( ie; nazi-v-jew)
