  • Scottish Surfers - help please!

We wanna head north of the border for New Years Eve.

Well, actually, me and Vicki would like to rent a log cabin for a few days, maybe 3 or 4, to include NYE. Ideally, this would be on the shores of a loch in the middle of nowhere, or just north of there.

Any recommendations / pointers would be welcome

these are the only cabins i have seen, in a nice setting

On the west coast, spean bridge, close to Fort Bill (william)

not next to a loch, but by a river, and lots of huge mountains around

I stayed in a log cabin on Loch ness just east of foyers, the owner was a shipwright and had built the place himself it was $$$$$$ beautiful and he only charged £40 for the double with en-suite, I'll see if I can sort the number, trouble is I've moved house twice since and might have lost the details. here's two I've found on google, loch ness log cabins 01463 751 251
Craigdarroch hotel 0800 011 1193, book online or on phone

This is the place, its called Ness view but I cant find the number, if there's someone can get the number up there I'd recommend giving him a call, its a double, no other guests, en-suite with a private little conservatory n all central heated, tv etc. H

Its also about ten yards from the waters edge, between Boleskine and Foyers

I stayed here in January. In the 'Morning Lodge'. Jucuzzi bath, sauna, four poster bed and a log stove. Even got engaged while i was there.!!!

The weather was terrible, but when your in that log cabin and the stoves on you just cant beat it and its only a 1 1/2 hour drive for me.
