no its not essential but after using it aswell i find that the start up in the mornings is better and runs more smoother

you ain't got anything to lose by trying it anyway.I've been running 50/50 at the mo but i will increase it a bit on the next fill up to see how it runs then

i have put 1 litre of w/spirit to 15 litres of veg oil and put about 27 litres of that mix into the tank to make up about a 50/50 mix with desiel.I will raise the amount of vegoil and w/spirit mix this week to 40 to 45 litres and top up with desiel and see how that runs for a while

yea its just for peace of mind that its mixed well with the oil

i think ill have a go soon then,in the shed i have a metal 25 litre can sumwhere,wud be perfect for job!
on a diffrent note,reading tonys site he mentions disconnecting egr valve to stop smoke etc,is the the same as blanking the pipe??
