  • Rear Side Bumper

    Hey there everyone,

I have a quick question. I had a little tangle with an idiot in a Mercedes the other day when he reversed (slowly) into the back of my Surf. After questioning him on how he failed to see the 2 tonne truck blocking out all of the sunlight in his rear view mirror, I noticed that he had put a ding in the rear side bumper. It's not very big, and I've seen a lot worse, but since my Surf has no other dings or scratches, it stands out a bit.

I am getting ready to sell her (yes, sell) sorry. And I wanted to see how easy it would be to take the bumper panel off and knock out the ding.

Can this be done easily? Its not the main rear bumper, but just one of the pieces that bends round the rear quarter. There are a couple of bolts underneath that I can see, but I don't want to remove all of the rubber sealings only to find I can't get them back on.

Any advice would be much appreciated as always.

PS. I'll be sure to say goodbye before I go.

just half a dozen nuts/bolts to take the corner bumper off.Give them a good lube up first as they have a tendency to snap

I was under the impression all bolts tend to snap when you're about
