Saw the way the French played against the All Blacks yesterday, should be a good game next Saturday with our guys.

Didn't see the England/Aussie game but did watch NZ/France and some of our earlier games. Watching the French defence in the last part of the game (after they went ahead), if they improve on that we've got no chance if we need a try!

That said, if like NZ we only need 3 points, with Wilkinson there we probably wouldn't spend so long trying to batter our way through. Can't see why they waited so long to attempt the drop with the possession they had.

Personally, I think it's a difficult one to call, depends a lot on the tactics Laporte uses. I don't see him using the same kicking game that he did against NZ.

If both teams play to their potential, we should dominate the scrums, penalty kicks should be even and if the French run the ball like they can that could cause us problems.

Sitting on the fence, I see it being 3 points either way.

I completely agree, I thought the French dominated the 2nd half of the game, we will struggle if the French battle for the try line, we seem to struggle to get it over the line...we did beat the aussies just by penalty kicks tho, we really need to work on the tries put a bit more shoulder into it.

the frogs were, i admit, good defensively in the 2nd half....but...they only EVER have 1 good match per tournament, and that was it.
i think we got the edge in the forwards. also, even though they have a monster in S.C to come on in the last 20....i truly think big Lawrence will have a bigger impact for us than Chabal will for them. Lawrence's personal history drives him massively in these situations, it's all for his sister.

Chabelle just looks menacing doesn't really do very much...seems to go down quite easy when he's tackled, I just hope we don't rely on our kicking alone we really need to get over the try line, at least we can turn around and say that we gave the french a fight.

chabal breaks jaws when people try to tackle him!!! he's a monster in looks and history...that is sometimes enough, but with heads as hard as Mooody's we'll be ok.
