Gen 3 facelift Homelink info?

Does anyone here have the homelink option on their Gen 3? Or was it a US option only? Anyone got any info on retro fitting adn what its compatable with?

Anyone know what I am on about?

I am guessing its a US spec only thing then if no one has heard of it...

From what I can gather its a built in transmitter that you can use to open/close gates/garage doors etc, thats built into the sun visor or lights around the rear view mirror...

I've installed five remote garage door openers this year and the remotes are radio wave transmitters not infra red, so the fob can be in the door pocket or on the keyring, no need to 'point' it at the garage door.

Picky, I know...

Usually cars have a tab on the sun visor or a small compartment near the ignition, on the roof or on the dash.. I just thought it was a neat extra having it built in.... instead of having it rattle about in the door pocket/cubby under stereo. Plus It'd be harder to lose!
