First Gold is one of my fave beers ever actually... Pale blue label. Well worth looking for!

Yes it is. It's a good reliable pint usually. Locally, Shropshire Lad is a consistent beer, as is Marstons Pedigree.

Samual Smiths pale ale.........i struggle to get hold of that and it's one of my favourates

Try Marstons Old Empire if you like a good pale. It's a bit strong to be a session beer, but its a nice one to have a couple of.
