couple of quick Q's

im planning on servicing my surf this week, what oil is best to use in it , its a 2.4td
and is there any advantage of blocking off the EGR valve at all, i know when i had my supra that blocking off the EGR valve had advantages, is it the same on my surf

try a search mate for EGR, loads of info here. I use diesel oil from costco... 10w40 I THINK

I use 10/40 semi synth in Hippo with no problem, it's not worth going fully synth.

Yep, the EGR mod improves the smoking

DON'T buy the bl00dy ball bearing on fleabay though !
