I think it may be best to work on routes first, then time, as France can have some strange holidays/festivals that we may or may not want to aviod.

Also if you go in the summer, then put £5 a week in a jar and you should have £200ish as slush fund.

How's this:

Go out for the weekend for a reccie - sometime in May.
Go for the week late June/early July - Sunday to Sunday

We can sample the beer/wine/food on the May run out - so don't forget the cool boxes.....

No - trying to nail a date for the actual event - once that's sorted everything else will fall into place.

You and Mud can do your recce prior to that.

I'm fairley easy on dates, although it will depend, I guess, on whether we want to do it in wet or dry conditions.
