I did the horse poo, then cooked the dinner ...

Then drilled out and riveted some ally on the front of my lorry, swept 3 tonnes of devils pit out of the garage, picked up dog poo, mowed the lawn, helped demolish a pickup, bleed a surf clutch and fix a Nova fuel pump.

Now I'm gonna have a lie down... and get fed endless supplies of chocolate...

I spent today thawing out after yesterdays jaunt up to Haydock to drop a lorry off then ride the bike back to Hatfield...I had never been so cold before even when i worked in a freezer. ( The wife would not even let me put my hands on her back to warm them up which i did not think was very sporting )Then i had a lovely chap come over to show me the right way to rebuild an engine Thanks Andy i am in your debt

I decided to grease my nipples Saturday (on the drive joints that is). Got under my Surf and found one of the rear shock absorbers hanging off!!!

Not only was the upper rod end thread stripped off but there was a huge dent in the thing too. Must have done that at Avon Dassett last month. It just took me a little while to notice it though....

So I ended up re-threading the rod and re-fitting it. I also did the 5000km oil & filter change, lubricated my rear window mechanism, Waxoyled the inside of the rear door, toped up the batteries, checked wheel bearings for looseness (next weeks job) and vaccumed her out.
