hi boyo, yes you are correct i have javars truck...
when we had a look at that pipe going all the way round the engine bay it just had the air filter in the same place but on the other side of the bay. it was underneath the intercooler, therefore any cool air that passed through the intercooler was being sucked into the intake, but not before being warmed up by the intercooler when the heat was exchanged.
when i removed that 6ft or so of tube i got another 2psi of boost just by doing that.
ill have to let the body shop do the cutting though. plus i dont want it to look odd.

We had a Rolls Royce APU in the chamber last week. Had a spinning dust filter on it for desert use. Would make an unusual top for a snorkel!
