  • New tyres top tip

    Hi all,

I've just fitted some new tyres to the smurf and thought I would share my top tip for when you fit a new set of boots,
as many people ask "what should my air pressure be" when they fit non standard tyres.
There are many variables other than tyre size, like tyre make and construction, weight of vehicle, castor/camber ect..... that will affect the
    outcome.
So what I do is set the pressure to the manufacturers spec's, then run the vehicle for a few (about 5) miles, then check the condition of the little moulding pimples across the surface.
Pimples wearing down faster in the middle of the tyre air down, if wearing more on the outside air up.
Repeat this trip, check and adjust until you get a nice even wear then record
the pressure on a sticky label (or masking tape) and stick it to the inside of your glove box, or some where dry.

    Mark.......

large centre box about 1 1/2 Hrs ago. Sounds great and the turbo spins up a lot earlier
