At the top of every gear, I get a rumbling sound, I think from the transmission, that goes away when the gear changes.....any ideas what this is?????

Next Thursday the Surf is booked into the garage for 4 new UJs, 4 sets of wheel bearings and new diff oil.....hopefully that will shut it up....

I'm changing ATF, oil, oil & fuel filters tomorrow...

The RPM on idle is about 550...tried to adjust it but need to get the WD40 out to loosen the cable nuts.....

Different garage this time, however - this is the bunch that spent a while explaining to me that the air con unit under the bash plate was an oil cooler, that Toyota fit as standard.......

GOD - what have I done?? I can't wait to move, so I'll have a drive, and start doing this myself!

maybe you have a broken engine or gear box mount.

Hmmm - engine ones were checked not too long ago - but I'll check the gearbox ones following three weekends in Wales in quick succession....

If you don't know the garage and they give you a list of new parts I would ask for the old bits so you know they have actually been done.

But then Iv'e been fleeced before so always wary.
