Very unusual ! Never known a Toyota transfer give out before gearbox or diff! Are you sure it is shifting fully into low ?

yes even got the high low stick out its going fully in but no drive at all theres no feeling when going in to low but there is when going back into high 4wd high working fine ?

Has your Surf had a body lift??

I couldn't get mine into Lo for a while, I was just in Neutral - Hi worked fine, but couldn't engage low, and had no drive... Cut a bit out of the body in front of the lever, now it goes from Hi, to N and then on to Lo and it all works..

It's just a though, cos I'm miles away and can't just pop down and help...
