about 10-12 inches is plenty dont see why not silicone mate

let me see what we have lying around at work in the parts bins.does it matter if its slightly bigger internally say 3"?

yea thats why i mentioned silicone hose,you can get away with it being slightly bigger because it will squeeze down.i'll have a look in the morning and see what we have.im pretty sure the R&D worshops will have something.
