  • Top mount vs Front mount intercooler

    Hello,

Apache and meself have had a healthy debate going for about the last year on which is the best - front or top mount intercooler.

My view is top mount - stays clean, works, easy fit, as per all other 4x4TD with a cooler etc.
Apaches is front mount - a bit more efficient (better air) no scoop in bonnet, etc.

What's you view - please poll - ta.

The cost of silicone hoses to do that would be more than the truck's worth!!!

I'm with ya andy, definatly top, less overpriced sillycon hose runs, limited space on the front, easier to fit and ya get to have a big f**k off scoop, and a fan,

Loads of space on mine, and the hose run on the 3.0 isn't that different. Anyway, lag is not an issue on a 2 ton truck. It's not an f'in 200SX!!

I need to give you my number if you come up with stuff like that - even though I've got the cooler and scoop, doesn't hurt to have options!
