i'm trying to keep the faith but i have spent the best part of a grand in the last few months just to keep it on the road and its still not completely right. Oh for a lottery win, you know the tax we pay voluntarily to pay for the upkeep of things that the government is to tight to pay for. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

if it is serious, there is a guy near to me in eastbourne who breaks hilux pick ups and surfs. he permanantly has several engines , gearboxes, diffs ,transfer boxes etc, and he is dead cheap. i can very easily pick up a major component for you needs be and run it down
      Non intercooled nothing.

so lurch has it been mended,i would imagine you took a lot of muddy water in to the torque converter.it cant be that bad if it moved just by dropping six ltrs of oil out of the g/box sump(sorry muddy water)and replenishing with fresh oil.

Being worked on by the £50 special, he has also found my exhaust is a bit bent, its not been on a year yet, but he says it should be ok. Found out how water got in, the dip stick bit for gearbox is knackered and let the water in, both diffs were flooded with water too.
