Got 2X 15lts from Tesco today, along with a load of other stuff. Spent over 50 quid so got a voucher for 5p a ltr off derv which brought the price of there derv down to 91.9p. Not a bad deal.

                You pay for it!?!?!

Ours comes from the pub, (un)fresh out of their chip frier. 40 liters a week, regular as clockwork.

Filter it, and toss it in the truck.

Just how much is involved in cleaning all the bits of old chips and other crud out of used veg oil, and how much room would it take up in the shed?

We filter it through a cotton pillow case cover over the end of a upside down veg oil can with the bottom cut off, the filtered oil can then run out of the spout, into a funnel in a jerry can. And just toss it in the truck, the fuel filter does the rest.

This is only recommended for oil that has only cooked chips, if its had meat in it, it really should be turned into bio, to get rid of nasty meat fats and acids. (so we've been told!)
