Yes we do stand up and speak our minds. Aussie way of life is pretty special in comparison to the rest of the world. For a very long time we were seen as this horrible outpost at the bottom of the world, but the secrets out and everyone wants to come.
So we want to ensure our life style isnt hindered and pollies seem to listen over here to your veiws.
What we are frightend of is aus becoming like the uk now. So we have to do it right
Australia is in the grips of a huge economic boom so if you want to come and stay you are most welcome. We have lots of jobs that need filling.
Tradesman in the north of my state Western australia are earning more then doctors hows $140 grand sound for 2 weeks on 1 week off, fly in/out.
Australia needs immigration but we dont want the dregs of society. What we need more of is you REAL brits who share our history and values.
I have a lot of respect for Australian forthrightness (is that a word?). I loved the 'So where the $$$$$$ hell are you?' adverts, and didn't find them in the least offensive. I think it's about time that we back here in Britain (you know, the country where all the criminals come from ) took a leaf out of our Aussie kins book, and take a stand like mentioned in the OP.
My sister has already emigrated to Oz, and is in the process of getting her dual nationality. I really must do some saving up so that I can come out there.
Can't imagine any politician here would have the Cajones to say that. They would be accused of racisim. The standard cry from the left when someone says something they disagree with.
Totally agree with Australia what really scares me is what if we get a muslim radical type chap in the government do you think they will listen to our human rights....no chance...we're a bunch of fagots in this country how do we let this happen
What this country needs is someone with a backbone like him. He's not afraid to upset anyone.
As someone mentioned before, if the BNP came back a little towards the middle, ditched all the ex convicts/chavs in their party and came up with a strong manifesto, they could get a lot of votes.
I want to emigrate, as my (recently deceased) Gran, Auntie and Uncle and cousins live out there.
I'm also a plasterer so could get a nice job out there. The Mrs won't have it though. Damn her.
It's a great idea but would never happen here. Too many people shouting out the human rights act, what a stupid idea that was. It shouldn't have been rights, it should have been privalidges. If you work hard and are productive in society then you deserve to rewarded for your contribution. If you choose to sit on your sofa all day and expect handouts then you deserve a kick in the ar$e.
I would like to move to australia as ive always wanted to go there since my uncle and aunt moved there years ago. Now i have quite a few mates that have finnished at our local mine and moved over there to perth to work and they love it. I think they fly out to there work place and work a week or so.
I keep saying one day !!!
But you know where they'll head to if they do leave......
